27-year-old Robert Schneider, Notary Public, founds a law firm in Matten (Interlaken).
23-year-old Albert Eggler, Notary Public, founds a law firm in his home village of Brienz. At the same time, he manages the Ersparniskasse Brienz, now BBO Bank Brienz Oberhasli AG, and serves as chairman of the Brienz-Rothorn Railway company.
Albert Eggler builds a residential and office building on the "Gärbi" in Brienz. The office is still located on the ground floor today. Until 1956, the local bank (Ersparniskasse Brienz, now Bank Brienz Oberhasli AG) was also located there.
Robert Schneider builds an office and residential building in Interlaken. The law firm moves from Matten to its current location at Waldeggstrasse 3 in Interlaken.
Fritz Schneider, Notary Public (son of the founder of the law firm in Interlaken), starts working with his father.
After 10 years of work, Fritz Schneider (1887 - 1925) dies at the age of 38.
Dr. Walter Bettler, Attorney at Law and Notary Public, joins the law firm of his grandfather Robert Schneider and complements the notarial practice with a lawyer's practice.
Robert Schneider (1857 - 1937; founder of the law firm in Interlaken ) dies at the age of 80 after a professional career spanning 53 years.
Albert Eggler (1877 - 1939; founder of the law firm in Brienz) dies at the age of 62 after a professional career of 41 years.
His eldest son, Albert Eggler jun., Attorney at Law (1913 - 1998), runs the Ersparniskasse Brienz (now Bank Brienz Oberhasli AG) for a year. During this time, the law firm is managed on an interim basis by the Notaries Public Max Häni and Ernst Berta based in Interlaken.
Richard Eggler, Notary Public, the younger son of the founder of the law firm in Brienz, begins his 46-year professional career in Brienz.
Peter Bettler, Attorney at Law and Notary Public, joins the law firm of his father Dr. Walter Bettler.
Thomas Hofer, Attorney at Law and Notary Public, starts his professional career in the law firm of Dr. Walter Bettler (father) and Peter Bettler (son), from 1985 onwards as a partner in the law firm "Bettler & Hofer".
Adrian Glatthard, Attorney at Law and Notary Public, succeeds Richard Eggler and opens his firm in Brienz.
Dr. Walter Bettler ends his 54-year professional career as an Attorney at Law and Notary Public.

The firm opens an office in Meiringen (home town of the family Glatthard).
Therese Rotzer, née Mathyer, who grew up in Brienz, works as an Attorney at Law (part-time) in the Brienz office as of 2003. She leaves the firm in December 2008 to complete additional training as a Notary Public.
Thomas Hofer takes full ownership in the office in Interlaken. Peter Bettler continues to work in a reduced capacity.
Peter Bettler ends his 40-year professional career.
Richard Eggler (1914 - 2008) dies at the age of 94.
The law firm creates an additional position for an attorney at law in coordination with the law firm of Frey, Hueber, Ramseier and Partners (Thun; now Frey Hueber Partner).
Markus Caflisch (2009 - 2012) and Alois Huber (2012 - 2014), both Attorneys at Law, exercise their professional activity partly in Thun and partly in Brienz.
Subsequently, both colleagues begin their additional training as Notaries Public (patents in 2014 and 2016).

Thomas Hofer ends his 32-year professional career. Jürg Eberhart, Attorney at Law, starts his legal practice in the Interlaken office (with the firm until 2020).
Melchior Schläppi, Attorney at Law and Notary Public, joins the firm. He works in the Interlaken office.
Stefanie Wider, Attorney at Law, starts her legal practice in the Interlaken office (with the firm until 2021).
